Great jig in extremely cold water. When the fish are sluggish, go to the 1/4 oz and fish it slow on the ledges. What makes this jig so appealing to bass is it's overall size. As you can see it has an extremely small profile which resembles the crawfish the big prespawn females absolutely love to eat in early spring. Our favorite all around jig. We go to this jig when the fish start getting more aggressive and want that quicker fall that triggers strikes. Again we have stayed with the small profile that catches numbers of fish. You don't want a huge hook in a small jig because that defeats the purpose. The overall size of the hook is what makes the jigs non-threatening appearance so appealing to the big largemouths wanting that easy meal. By beefing up a small section under the head of the jig we were able to add weight while still maintaining a smaller jig head. Available in 8 skirt colors. We designed the 1/2 oz jig to throw when you are in strong winds or when wanting to fish deeper that say 15 feet and you now need that fast fall to trigger strikes. This jig still has that small profile by keeping the same 3/0 hook we used in the 3/8 oz jig. By beefing up a small section under the head of the jig we were able to add weight while still maintaining that smaller jig head. Available in 8 skirt colors.
